Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Director General, Dr. Sai Kyaw Naing Oo, attended the opening ceremony of E-Learning Online Training for Workshop Management 5S LEAN Innovation

          In order to be able to systematically implement the 5S Workshop Management System in the workshops and practical rooms of Government Technical Colleges, Government Technical Institutes, Government Technical High Schools, training schools and vocational schools under the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training, E-Learning Online Training for Workshop Management 5S LEAN Innovation course were taught online from (18-1-2021) to (29-1-2021). Director General of the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Dr. Sai Kyaw Naing Oo attended the ceremony.

          At the opening ceremony, the Director General of the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Dr. Sai Kyaw Naing Oo said that as our department, we were able to implement almost 100 of all the processes to be carried out in a balanced way along with the three master strategies set out in the technical and vocational education and training sector in the National Education Master Plan (2016-2021);and then for the continued rapid development of technical and vocational education and training sector as in the National Education Master Plan (2021-2023), under the seven major pillars of Access, Curriculum, Teaching & Learning, Assessment, Management, Financing and Internationalization & Partnerships, strategies and components written and elaborated in a systematic approach and efforts are being made to carry out further development from all sides. Moreover, schools are extended opened annually, and  classrooms, training staff, workshops, staff housings, teaching aids and equipments are more fully provided each year, new teachers are appointed to meet the needs, pre-service courses and in-service courses, teaching and learning courses, practical skills courses and giving courses like 5s Workshop Management Course is aimed at implementing the 5s system in the workshops and practical rooms of all TVET schools in accordance with the instructions of the Union Minister. With the support of GIZ,700 students from 70 schools under the leadership of the department are divided into 15 groups and they will begiven online training for 2 weeks by 50 teachers who have attended the 5s course opened between 2017 and 2019. During the course, the pilot must complete the  implementation of the 5s system, and the best performing schools will be awarded 500,000 kyats for the first prize, 300,000 kyats for the second prize, 200,000 kyats for the third prize and 100,000 kyats for each special prize.

          During the time of attending the training and implementation of 5s, we would like to request the participants to comply with the rules and regulations of covid-19 prevention, control and treatment. In order to expand the quality of technical and vocational education and training, the department and the ministry are cooperating with related ministries, private entrepreneurs, development partner organizations, and domestic and foreign organizations to the best of their ability. Moreover, he encouraged all teachers and stakeholders to help and cooperate with full responsibility as long as they have the skills and abilities in their respective roles in the implementation of TVET Education to be First Class as the State Counselor's guided and ordered.

It is reported that the opening ceremony of E-learning Online Training for Workshop Management 5s LEAN Innovation Course was attended by the Director General, Deputy Director General, Department Heads and Directors of the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Principals and department heads of Government Technological Colleges, Institutes, Schools, Vocational Education Schools and Training Departments and a total of 723 trainee teachers.
